We are looking for proven closers--someone who has demonstrated sales success. Do not apply unless you have statistics to support your ability to sell. Account managers are responsible for securing at least one new client every day, so the right candidate must be extremely driven and self-motivated. There are unlimited prospects as our clients include local restaurants, spas, theaters, and even the Chicago Cubs!  We provide all the tools but ultimately it's up to you to close the business. Qualifications:

  • Minimum of one year of sales experience (3+ years preferred). Experience in online and/or local advertising is helpful but not required.

  • Strong knowledge of the Chicago marketplace including consumer trends and popular area merchants and attractions.

  • Demonstrated success inside a sales environment.

  • Enjoy ‘cold-calling’.

  • Entrepreneurial mindset.

  • Creative problem solving skills.

  • Good at building relationships.

  • Strong negotiation skills.

  • Ability to prospect via social media and offline networking.

  • Flexible, and able to quickly adapt to new situations.

Responsibilities Include

  • Developing and growing qualified leads.

  • Setting up in-person and phone-based meetings with prospective accounts.

  • Crafting potential business deals, negotiating terms, and issuing contracts to close on deals.

  • On-going relationship management with accounts

  • Using Salesforce.com to manage day-to-day sales activities.

  • Meeting monthly, quarterly and annual sales goals.
